在销盘试验机上对Si3N4/钢摩擦副的摩擦磨损性能进行了研究。选用的速度及载荷变化范围分别为0.8~3.2m/s和58.8~235.2N。在干摩擦和水润滑条件下,摩擦系数和陶瓷磨损率随速度、载荷均有不同程度的增大,但用油润滑时,较高速度下,Si3N4磨损率略有减小。较低速度下(<1.6m/s)水对Si3N4/钢摩擦副的摩擦性能无明显改善,速度大于1.6m/s时,水使Si3N4/钢摩擦副摩擦系数降低。同干摩擦相比,水的润滑作用减小了Si3N4的磨损率。润滑油对Si3N4/钢摩擦副的摩擦和磨损性能的改善均很显著。表面分析结果表明,Si3N4/钢摩擦副中Si3N4的磨损主要由粘着和微断裂引起,摩擦面温度升高会加速元素的扩散,从而加剧粘着磨损。高载荷下微断裂磨损也十分严重。对水润滑条件下的Si3N4磨损表面进行X射线衍射分析发现有FeSiO3,FeO等摩擦化学产物生成。这些摩擦化学产物对抑制摩擦面粘着,减小Si3N4磨损起到了一定的作用
